“Sekhmet” (the Powerful One), Lion-Headed female consort of the Creator God “Ptah”. A Goddess of Ancient Egypt, she was associated with fires and plagues. In some depictions Sekhmet wore a sun disk on her head identifying her as the daughter of “Re”, in this form she was a warlike manifestation of the sun, causing flames to devour the enemies of Egypt.
